LASER TATTOO REMOVAL

Tattoos have grown particularly popular over the last ten years. Yet while many people want to get them, just as many want to get rid of them. Tattoos are created by injecting coloured pigments into tiny holes made in the skin. The results are more or less permanent regardless of whether the pigment has been injected by a professional tattoo artist or an amateur. Many of us come to the realization that the tattoo we thought would be perfect forever is now a liability either for professional or social reasons.

Pulses of light from a laser are directed onto the tattoo to break up the pigment. How it works is that over the weeks following each treatment, macrophages in the body eliminate the pigments that have been destroyed. Generally, several treatments are needed to get rid of the entire tattoo.

LASER TATTOO REMOVAL AFTERCARE

Following your treatment, your Laser Tattoo Removal technician will clean and wrap the treated area for your trip home, and explain all aftercare instructions. Typically this involves cleaning the area twice a day with warm water and a mild, unscented soap, then patting dry and applying a thin layer of purtect ointment or an unscented moisturizer.

Blistering and crusting may occur, and is not uncommon. Do not rub, scratch or pick the area. Avoid UV exposure to the area for 4 weeks after treatment, and between sessions. Drink plenty of water immediately following a session.

FREQENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT TATTOO REMOVAL

These are some of the common questions we get asked about our Laser Tattoo Removal. If you don’t see the info you need, you can always call your nearest Adrenaline shop and ask one of our experts.

Does laser tattoo removal hurt?

It may. However, the procedure is very fast, much faster than applying the original tattoo. A refrigerated cooling fan will also be used to alleviate the discomfort during the treatment. The discomfort is likened to elastic band snaps.

Are laser treatments safe for tattoo removal?

Unlike traditional nanosecond lasers that use photo-thermal technology to heat the ink particle, Our laser uses a more powerful pressure wave that better directs the energy into shattering the ink particles, minimizing the possibility of negative affect.

Does laser tattoo removal work?

The laser is effective on all ink colours and skin types. Its technology uses a photo-mechanical pressure wave that shatters the smallest target particles, without injuring the surrounding area, and requiring less treatments than traditional nanosecond lasers.
